DDA Roller Skating Championship-2009

The school participated in DDA Roller Skating Championship-2009 at Major Dhyan Chand Sports complex on 29th November'2009. Aashish Kr. Passrija bagged IInd position and Shubham Pahuja bagged IIIrd position in Quad's race(300m).Tushar Dua, Harshit Jindal,Aditya Yadav bagged Ist position followed by Gitanshu Choudhary at IInd position and Unique Chawla and Shubham Sachdeva at IIIrd position in Addjutable Race (300m). Aashish Kr. passrija also bagged IIIrd position in long race and IInd position in Time Trial in InterZonal Skating Championship. He also received a cash prize of Rs.1250.

Folk Dance- State level competition

Modern Public School participated in the "Folk Dance- State level competition" organised by Manav Kalyan Sansthan.A team of 24 students- 20 dancers and 4 singers performed the vigorous 'Waghya Murli' folk dance from Maharashtra live with torches and lejim. Our school bagged the position in the first three schools out of more than 200 schools from Delhi NCR and the same was also selected for 'Common Wealth Games-2010' to be performed at one of the stadiums. Five students- Ayushi, Pooja Gupta , Swati Rathi, Karan Arora and Bhavik Sachdeva were also given special recognition for the same.

C.B.S.E. Cluster XII Athletics meet 2009-10

Two students Akshay Bansal & Manveen Kaur were selected & played for 55th National School Games 2009-2010 held at Amritsar (Punjab)from 23rd Nov. to 28th Nov 2009-2010.

7th National Inter District Junior Athletics Championship

7th National Inter District Junior Athletics Championship was held at Haridwar (Uttaranchal)from 4th Nov. to 8th Nov 2009-2010
Our students have again made us proud as Manveen Kaur of class VIII qualified for Final in 4 X 100 mt relay and got 7th position in all India and Akshay Bansal of class X qualified for Final in Javeline Throw and got 7th position in all India. They got National Participation Certificate.

Delhi State Inter Zonal Atheletics Meet 2009-2010

Modernites participated in Delhi State Inter Zonal Atheletics Meet 2009-2010 held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium Bawana from 5th Nov. to 11th Nov. 2009 in various events and were awarded with various certificates and prizes. 30th Delhi State Judo Championship 2009-2010

MPS shines in 30th Delhi State Judo Championship 2009-2010(Below 10 yrs. Boys) held from 25th November, 2009 to 30th November, 2009. Around 1500 students participated all over Delhi.
Imtiaz Ali of Class IV bagged first position, Dhairya Jindal of Class IV bagged second position and Kritharth Singh of Class III bagged third position.
We also won the championship in under 10 yrs. Boys category.

25th Manav Sthali Mathematics Talent Test at National Level

Modern Public School participated in 25th Manav Sthali Mathematics Talent Test at National Level on 31st January, 2009.
Anirudh Jain bagged Gold Medal.
Aman Singhal and Varun Nagpal bagged Silver Medal each.
Geetanshu Sethi, Peeyush Ramuka and Vikas Goel bagged Bronze Medal each.

Inter District Cultural Camp 2009-2010

Modernites brought glory to the school in Inter District Cultural Camp 2009-2010. Keshav Dingliwala of Class VIII and Shiva Sethi of Class IX bagged Third position in English Debate and received cash prize of Rs.500 each. Gunjan Makhija of Class XII bagged Second position in English Declamation and received cash prize of Rs.750.

MPS shines in Handball Inter Zonal Tournament

MPS participated in Inter Zonal Handball Tournament wherein Junior Boys Category bagged second position with a cash prize of Rs.750 and Senior Boys Category bagged third position with a cash prize of Rs.500.

Geography Talent Test 2008-2009 in Delhi State

Modernites participated in Geography Talent Test 2008-2009 in Delhi State and bagged respective positions and brought glory to the school: Palak Chawla secured third positon,Kanishka also secured third position and Sreerag secured ninth position.

MPS Shines Once Again in Ryan INMUN

Ryan International Schools, India organized the 9th Annual Session of Indian Model United Nations Conference 2009 in New Delhi on the theme “Courage to Change”.
It was an International competition wherein various schools participated and represented 120 countries of the world. They had done extensive study on the country they were representing. It gave a platform to the young minds to be aware of the global issues and find methods to tackle them through peaceful negotiations. The schools also had to submit a country profile of the country they were representing. This included the in depth study of the country presented alongwith other facts and figures. Five best country profiles were selected for the award. It is heartening to know that out of 120 countries Modern Public School got The Best Country Profile Award for the Second Consecutive year.

T.I.M.E. Quiz - An Achievement Indeed, Another feather in our cap

Triumphant  Institute of  Management  Education  conducted  quiz  competition at Sri Fort Auditorium on 23-11-2009.Two hundred  schools from Northern India each having 5 teams of 2 members each participated in this event.Out of a total of  2000 students , the students of Modern Public School after clearing all the rounds came to the position of first four. As a result the  team of Krishan Chopra and Sanchit Bhatia Class X   of MPS were declared as first Runners up for Northern India.There was only 5 point difference between the winning team of DPS Dwarka and Modern Public School.Our students were awarded cash prize of  Rs.1000/-  and an ipod each.

Supriya Gujral selected for participating in National Children Science Conference-2009

Supriya Gujral , class XII, has been selected for participating in National Children Science Conference-2009 to be held  from 27th  Dec. to  31st Dec. 2009 at  "Science City", Ahemdabad in  Gujrat.

MPS is one of the 8 schools selected from Delhi region for this event.

Distinguished  guests for the event will be H.E. Hon'ble President Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil , Dr. A.P.J. Kalam and other  eminent scientists of India.

This program includes exhibition of science projects prepared by the students,culture exchange programs and a guided city tour for the participants.

Akshay Bansal of class X got Ist rank and a cash prize of Rs. 1000 in  Jeveline Throw.
